Just wanted to share with everyone my little saturday afternoon project, I have had these scratches on my bumper since i bought my car 3 years ago and finally decided to do something to clean it up abit.
I started with sanding all the rough parts down with 150 grit sand paper, then filled in rough area with bondo and then sanded it back down, unfortunately before i got to finish it with paint and clear, it started to sprinkle rain at my house, so i called it a day and decided to finish later. I did go ahead a primer over the bondo so i could drive it until i got a chance to finish.
Sorry for not having great pics i used my phone to take pics.
Heres my materials i used:
I did use a little black and decker sander but forgot to take pics.
Here is how the scratches looked when i started:
this is a pic from a few months ago, that why my license plate is covered in this pic and not the others. Dont bother stealing it, I work for theSheriff Department, i will take you to jail.
and this is how it looks at about 75% complete just sanded and primed (there is no paint or clear on the bumper yet)
