Yes it's under the steering wheel. and I know my 90 didn't have one, nore any of the 90-91s I have worked on.

I am talking about the removable metal brace with the bolts. Not the plastic cover.

This is actually a permanent fix, if you do it right. If you buy a new one, it will go bad as fast as the original did.

As for that CC bolt, it is located at the oposite corner from the other one. Use your fingers to find it, if you can't see it.

I replaced mine with a new one. and it was a bitch to get back into the original mounting spot, so I just let it dangle. it didn't dangle too low. just a pain in teh ass to put back correctly. I have on other cars though. I takes time.

It goes something like this: On a hot day, you are driving around a lot. You decide to go to the gas station to get a big drink to cool off. You go back to your car and try to start it, but it refuses. The engine cranks, but won't start. You wait a few minutes, maybe 5 or so, and try again. Then it starts right up.

At least that's how it was for me, and the majority of others I've heard about.

            BTW, read this link http://autorepair.about.com/library/.../aa010301b.htm
My car's been doing this for a while now. I recently began stopping at a 7-Eleven after a 45 mile freeway trip to work in the AM and after coming back out my car CONSISTANTLY starts right up and immediatly dies.....then starts after about 3-4 minutes. It only occurs when the car is hot or has been running for a while. I re-soldered all of the connections although none were "visibly" damaged. I guess we'll see if this fixes the problem, so far so good....it runs!!

I think if you look at them very very closely you will see the cracks. They look like a scribed ring around the joint in a circle. I guess it could be compared to the snow line around a mountain.

I think since he needed two, and their $35 each from honda, thats where he got the $70 figure from?

nice write-up on the DIY. i'm positive this will come in handy for me. my car is showing the classic signs of not starting on a hot day. i should've expected this to happen sooner or later since it's normally around 110 degrees during the summer here. i also don't feel like paying 80 bucks at the honda dealership, maybe 40 at rockauto.com but if this is for free, i'll take it.

Anybody can buy one at the dealership and send me?
Please be reputable. Because of my location, the price is ridiculous here.

so i took out my main relay. this DIY had me thinking that it was gonna be a pain in the ass. i got all my tools ready and everything and got in position and, its hanging right in front of my face. it wasnt even bolted in. lmao all i had to do was pull the plug.

                          work in progress..
