NOTE: It is easier to replace the igniter with the dizzy off of the car, but be sure to mark the dizzy in relation to the motor using a sharpie or a razor blade.
First, remove the cap and rotor. Simply pry between the rotor with a screwdriver to get it off. It will probably put up a fight.
Remove the two screws holding the igniter assembly to the distributor (I have already removed one in this picture):
Here is the igniter assembly. The igniter itself is on top, and the holding plate is on the bottom:
Remove these two screws to remove the igniter from the plate:
From there, simply spread the grease that should have come with your new igniter on the metal plate, and attach the new igniter to the plate. Then install the plate assembly in the distributor, and attach the wires.
Reference the first picture incase you forget where the wires go.
