    So what are you saying, how much longer/shorter is the h22 compared to the h23? BTW its the A6 thats shorter than the h23, not vice versa.

      third step: take two exhaust nuts and screw them in the bolts in the lower manifold, and take both bolts out



      So I am having an issue with this step can anybody explain how to take that bolt off. I went to the junk yard and experimented with a IM there and put the two screws in and then tried to take them off but I just stripped them and I could not get the bolt off. I then tried on the other bolt and screw the two nuts in and then tried to take them off and they still would not come off. What am I doing wrong?

        try doing that and using a set of vice grips on the bolt itself this should work....

          To get the stud out of the lower portion of the intake manifold, just jam two nuts together and back it out. I've done it on a dozen or so intakes and several times on the exhaust studs.

          OR do what Mclovin said, vice grip that stud and just back it out.

                  There is a plug on the end, take some pliers and just pull the plug off then you will see a screw take that off and your done.

                            do it man.. fora h22 ull notice a diff without iab's, i have a sohc and i have a double stack and i no a diff. because double stacking iabs works on a sohc, not a h22, ull looose power if anything.

                            give it a shot friend. tell us how u loveeeeeeeeeee it.

                              well has it been done? because wouldnt it kill the top end because yeah it gets the air quicker but all together itll get less air because the smaller volume of air the plenum can hold without the iab there. as many people have said honda designed it to serve a purpose.
