it sounds like the cam timing is retarded a tooth.

What would happen if you took the butterflies out of both iab plates instead of just one of them?

J30A1 AC compressor bolts work in place of the 90 prelude AC bolts if anyone had problems finding bolts like me. might grind the pointed tip off and add a washer but works as is

I was wondering if there would be any losses to a double stacked spacer both w/o butterflies on a h22???

I would believe you would lose a little power on the bottom end with taking both butterflies out of the spacers. You would also need a tune afterwards as it would be getting too much air during lower RPMs.

I'd love to do this but don't want to tear things apart if I only have 90% of the parts!

unless you are going FI and then grind this thing completely hallowed out along with the plenum then this isn't going to do you any good and will hurt performance more than help. You won't really be gaining anything in the top end.

You would do better to leave it alone, maybe a slight p&p and use the blacktrax spacer...it is plastic material and dyno'd to gain 5hp throughout the powerband.

Guttung the mani like stated aove will work well just only on a non stock app. It will do nothing for a stock. It would be like putting a Victor sr. mani on a 283 sbc with a stock cam. It will not work.
