Here is a pic of the Maxima box. They are located on the driver side under the hood. They say CONT. CORNER on them. Be sure to get the pigtail too.



Here is the diagram that I came up with:




-Red/white - 12v ~ fused 15A
-Black- ground

-Red/yellow - low beam headlight lead
-Orange - high beam headlight lead

-Orange/blue - left intersection light
-Green/yellow- left turn signal lead

-Orange/black - right intersection light
-Green/red- right turn signal lead

1- Wire the red/white lead to the battery or fuse box with an in-ine fuse rated at 15A.

2- The red/yellow lead will tap into the Low Beam.

3- The solid orange lead will tap into the High Beam.

4- Run 2 wires to the left front and tap into the left turn signal with one and the other to your intersection light. The intersection light ground to ground.

5- The wire going to the left intersection light should be the orange/blue from the pigtail. The one going to the left turn signal goes with the green/yellow.

6- Run 2 wires to the right front and tap into the right turn signal with one and the other to your intersection light. The intersection light ground to ground.

8- The wire going to the right intersection light should be the orange/black from the pigtail. The one going to the left turn signal goes with the green/red.

This box allows the intersections to stay lit approx. 2 seconds after turn signals are off.

If I tap 2 and 3 into the ignition, will the intersection lights come on as long as the car is running, instead of having to have the headlights on?

Yes they will. That also defeats the purpose of the intersection lights.

The purpose of them is to come on with the blinker. I'd rather have them come on with the blinker no matter if the headlights are on or off. Just like I wired up my fog lights to come on with the push of a button, no matter if the headlights are on or off.

Maybe you misunderstood me. I want them to turn on with the blinker, even if the headlights are off. So would tapping wire 2 and 3 into the ignition, instead of the headlights, allow the intersection lights to come on with the blinker, with the headlights off?
