    Projector retro request.

Does anyone have a DIY for the projector retro into stock headlights? And yes I know fliplyricist has a DIY but the pics no longer work and I don't think he has them anymore because a lot of people in the thread have requested them and the thread didn't get fixed.

I really wanna do this DIY but don't wanna mess up good headlights so I would like to see how someone else did it with pics. Thanx.

Also, would anyone possibly do the retro for some money? and how much? I know that 97lude has some for sale and I love them but I don't have that kind of money to buy them.

A retro costs money no matter who does it. 97lude is actually running a bi-xenon setup and is selling them for a good price. The right parts cost money.

    ...adjust accordingly

yea, I know it will cost money. But I don't have the money to buy someone's like 97Ludes, they're nice lights and I think they are well worth the price but I can't afford them so I'm looking for an alternative or a DIY so I can make my own.

I have everything but the projectors, but they are purchased....just waiting on the seller.

TSX projectors = $155 for the pair
          (2) Philips D2S 4300k bulbs = $60
Extra OE headlights = $35 (got a smokin' deal from a cool new member)
My e46 ballasts = FREEBIE (ballasts can run $150 and up for a pair)

So right now I'm in $250.....and I got my ballasts for free. I'm using all OE parts, imo that's the best way. DIY coming soon.

is there anyway to know if the projectors are level before you put them on the car? or is adjusting on the car the only way?

Generally you eyeball the alignment within the housings, mount them on the car with no glass.....and adjust them while they're on the vehicle. You either adjust your mounting hardware, or the OE levelers. Either way, you have to worry about 3 aspects when adjusting. Then remove them from the car, and within touching your settings seal them up.

                      Look for:

                      1) Do the projectors cutoffs appear level? (rotation adjustment)
                      2) Do the projectors cutoffs line up with eachother? (vertical adjustment)
                      3) Are the projectors cutoffs aimed left or right too far? (horizontal adjustment)
