a6 has dual butterfly valves,a1 does not,also the a6 has more aggresive cam,and the exhaust mani is 4-2-1.and yes you would see a increase in top end,and additional hp.idid the swap and i ran the diaphram that opens the valves to a vacume instead of ecu and around 4g's it pulls hard and doesnt stop pulling.its not vtec but i sure as hell felt a difference.i got my a6 mani,tb,for $20 and installed it in about 30 mins.for cheap mod and hp upgrade its 2 thumbs up.oh ya when those valves open it sounds a heck of a lot nicer too.
