Buy a Haynes manual and trace the wires. Thats the only way to really figure it out. The door lights do come on right? If not, check the little push switch located on the door jam.

if you can, try to take the bulb outta the ceiling light. I know I had to mess w/ my vanity mirror bulb one time before it started working. It could just be a loose connection. But take it apart and look at the tabs, maybe one is not making contact with the wires or something.

Check the switch on the door jam. If its broke the cluster will not acknowledge the door as "open"

The switch that is on the door is actually fine i even unscrewed it and then screwed it back in to make sure its fine and its seems to be perfectly fine.

it may look fine, mine did, but it didnt work. with the door open just jiggle the slider around to try and make a contact and see if it lights up on the dash or if your dome turns on. most likely thats what it is.

haha thanks, actually when you "jiggle" it, its like a spring loaded device so when the door opens it slides out, so when you do "jiggle" it jus sorta push it out a lil further.

both of mine didnt work in the coupe, so i went to a yard and took like four of them off different ones, and probably after a solid of month of them working my ex, shut the damn door with the seatbelt still in it, and broke the damn tab off. i was so mad lol.

as stated your switches arent working. you can usually clean em up and make sure that the point they screw in is clean and not rusty.
but to verify get a digital mulitmeter or test light. the wire connected to the switch will meter ground when the switch is let go and not with it pressed in (leave it screwed in)

connect the postive to battery power or thick white wire at the fuse box and touch the ground wire of the meter to the wire behind the pin swtich you want to test. if the switch is ok then the meter will read 12v with the switch out and 0 when you push it in.
