    Tranny Swap problem

I did my swap and when I tried to drive it around, the whole car shakes when I make a right turn. I got a new axle on the driverside. But when I took the old one out, the shaking stopped. Now with the new one in it is shaking again. Could this be a bracket problem? I had to weld the bracket for the manual tranny. Did anyone had this similar problem?

Did you do a 5speed swap?

    ...adjust accordingly

Yes I did. It shifts very well, but I can't get the power on the road because of the shaking problem.

It most likely is a mount alignment problem.

Did you do a mock up of where the bracket should go or just guess and weld it in.

I lifted the engine till it stood horizontal and in 1 line with the axles and then I welded the mount.

And you did use the stock accord manual axles and half shaft. Also go over all you bolts and nuts in the suspension and lug nuts (lol nuts).

Yep, the accord ones. Tomorrow IŽll relocate the bracket and that will probably fix the problem.

I relocated the tranny bracket on the stock location and the shaking is still there. Can it be that my axles are to long? I've already got a new ball joint ond the left side and wheel bearings. The axles that I use are from the European Accord/Ascot because the whole platform is the same. Only the body is different from what I've heard.

                    Does anybody have some answers?

bro when me and MR PHIL did the 5speed swap we forgot to put
o of the bushings in the strut rod and it made like a clunking sound

strut rod= the bar that goes from the lower control arm to the front
the bar that u have to take out in order to take the tranny out

that bar has 2 bushings front and back check also on the drivers side
because u say its from the passengers side
thats where that bar is located at

The problem is on the drivers side and I'll sure take a look at it. But was your car shaking also when you turned to the right and with accelerating?

I've just looked at it and I can move them both for about 1 cm. Is that ok or don't they have to move at all?
