...How tight are those nuts that you loosen when you adjust the valves supposed to be?


I know .......wrong section. But i need a quick reply and the manual just says to tighten them. Plus i dont eve know how you would torque them.

my manual says 14lbft. also says to oil the treads with engine oil

how would you torque them? Im guessing you would need some special tool? Im guessing hand tight plus a little more witht he vice grip on socket method would work?

When im tightening it, what says that the slot dosent move? It does.

just hold it, then snug it. then give a little more umph... i would say like a spark plug tightening feel?

Everytime I've adjusted the valves I just tightened them down till snug but not crazy.

They do move, but I tighten them by hand first and then verify the torque with a torque wrench, don't let the pursuit of perfection eff with you, there's good enough and there's overdoing it
