What RPM do you idle at? It sounds like your idle is really low, and is too low for the car to keep running. It should be around 700 RPM.

Also, do you have a stick? If you do, was your clutch all the way in?

well my car idles with the niddle past the 1, dunno why but i think its because my CB is running on only 3 cylinders instead of 4.

and my car is a automatic, today i went to move the car and it took a while to start.

Does it idle that high all the time? Or just when you start? It's normal to have a fast idle when you first start up, it warms the car up. What does it idle at when you have it in D4, with your foot on the brakes?

        Do you have any CELs?

Why do you say it is only on 3 cylinders?

I think you prob. might be in the "3 cylenders instead of 4" part lol. You might just have some fouled plugs. Sometimes that will give you a bad ildle. Also, my car shuts of at lights sometimes. TOday it shut off when i held in the clutch goin 60 Mph! I dont know why it does it, but if you figure it out, please send me a PM telling me how you fixed it.

CEL means Check Engine Light. Its a light that is in the cluster, you should notice it if it is on.

It sounds like your idle is pretty high. You should check your spark plugs/wires and distributor cap/rotor, just to make sure they are in good shape. Check your air filter while you are at it.

When was the last time your changed your oil?
