    crabon tracking in distributor cap

i decided to inspect inside my cap and rotor since the cb feels a bit sluggish. i've changed it out before, and pretty recently if i may say. so, i take off the cap and i see a nice thin white coat of white dust on one side. not only that, but there's a bit of oil that seemed to have made it's way through. i've seen the carbon tracking happen before, but the oil? is it coming from the distributor itself, possibly a bad distributor o-ring?

ps - i'm going to replace the cap and rotor with oem parts, but while i'm at it i just want to kill this oil leak

Replace the o-ring, they go bad.

Yep change the seal in the dizzy, and you might as well do the bearing while your in there at the same time

I'm pretty sure they do stock it, that's where I bought mine.

Did you click on distributor? It's there, #6 on the diagram for '92/'93. Anyways they never remove any parts from their website listing when unavailable. You will find out if its unavailable after you try ordering it.

#6 is the rubber o-ring gasket for the distributor. the other seal is behind that o-ring, inside the housing. it's like a bearing
