H22a downpipe wont mate to cat

I didnt really see this explained anywhere but here it goes. I dont know if I was in a hurry or just pissed off but it seems that my H22a downpipe does not want to mate up with the Accord cat. What I want to know is how everybody got theirs to match up? I am thinking of using an old F22a1 down pipe flange and stick on there. I thought about getting an ebay header to fix this problem but I didnt wanna run into the same problem I had with the flanges not matching up. And I know you cant weld stainless to regular exhaust pipe. Or would a F22a4 or 6 downpipe bolt up to the H22a manifold?

jdm headers wont match the usdm cat. usdm headers will work

yea i think i will use an after market header since there are absolutely NO H22a preludes exist in a JY around here!

the cheapest thing would be to weld on the flange from the f22.
Another thing I have seen done is the bolt hole on the flange is slotted to allow the f22 cat to bolt up.

mine matched up fine.. but yes you can weld stainless to metal, as i did to mine to extend it to reach..
i think if you use the downpipe from the accord, you'll loose performance as the pipes are smaller

He is correct, you defiantly arc weld that. I'll tell you what, don't do what i did ( go to autozone and buy pipe to measure, cut, and weld... pain in the arse
                Fun with Paint... haha.

^^^ they have pretty much explained why you cant get your problem solved immediatly unless you come to my house and take my door stop.. (hint: its an h22 header with accord flange welded on to meet the cat)

As mentioned already you gotta weld accord flange on. Some people have done it on this forum. You just need to go to an exhaust shop and mod it or something. Thats the best bet.
