    does a new fuel filter make you faster

    Ok well i just got a new fuel filter put in at 144k miles, is there any chance you'd noticed a difference in performance, the littless bit? seemd like it did to me, but maybe its me being stupid lol

    nope .. maybe better response and better fuel mileage.

      placebo but really I dont think it would make a difference. I mean if your car had a noticeable problem before because of fuel delivery, but if you are just replacing it cause its old then it shouldn't really be a difference.

        i just changed mine last friday...i notice that the car pulls more...i had 160k on it...it really pics up now...usualy if i watch my rpm while im flooring the car...it is slow till 3k rpm....now its just shotting its way towards redline....but it is hard to tell....

        but any ways...it did something good....thats what we want right? hehe...did u go oem?
        What makes me laugh about forums, is that no matter how much you try to help someone, they dont take the advice. Go ahead and do it the hard way.

        You got to respect what you drive, and appreciate what you have, making the best of what you got. and if that means putting CAI, HID's, a phat stereo system, and a idiot in the drivers seat...then so be it!

          haha now i don't sound so crazy lol

          well i told you that they wanted 50bucks for a oem one, so i just went to autozone and got a 12 dollar one, seems to be pretty legit.

            50 bucks for oem was too much..here oem is 22 dollars...
            What makes me laugh about forums, is that no matter how much you try to help someone, they dont take the advice. Go ahead and do it the hard way.

              is it easy to change a fuel filter? all i knwo is before i got the car my dad had it tuned up at the dealership about 2 years ago, when i got the car... whole bunch'a shit changed, you think they changed fuel filter? i might wanna change it i dunno im bored and wanna do some shit.

                iono what they did honestly bro. but if u want to do it look at my other post on fuel filters...i have a DIY in there...i should post that in the DIY forum too....
