OK new alternator still dying

wow, if it isnt one thing its another, Ok voltage is always at 14, but the battery light is on and it wont go off. Car runs perfect. Just installed the new crank pulley. Does this mean the new alt. is bad.

alt belt too tight

alright I adjusted the belt to have a little more slack in it, now the light is off until I turn on my head lights or a/c. does this mean its not charging when I have the lights on. the voltage stays at 14.5 and with everything on it didnt go lower than 13.5. thats highbeams radio, a/c, redefrost, park lights and foot on the brake. This light is bugging me, any help......................

hmmm wierd. That thing shouldnt come on unless it senses a drop in voltage. Whats your battery read with the engine off overnight? What are you using to take the readings? Are the plugs pushed in all the way and tight? Maybe you can have bad terminals? you never know. If your charging as you say 13.5 it should not be doing that unless the unit inside the alternator is bad or some wire is no bueno.

wow 15V

voltage was at 14.7-15 when I started the car this morning, It came down to 14.6 and held quite steady. Battery light is on but goes off. then when i either brake or do something that either disturbs the idle or power it pops on until i guess it levels out. whats the deal. Battery at 12.8 with car off..........

I get it checked tomorrow, first ill swap the one out of my girls car to see if its still on, her battery is fine. If not whats the next thing to look at.
