ok i think i did it right, got codes 48 which was 4 blinks pause and then 8.
D4 was also flashing and from that i got 1,2 and 7,8
Any ideas...its getting bad cause i was driving the car on the highway and got a CEL and then wen it down shifted later it kinda sputtered or missed fire.

      Please help.

geez couple months later and issue is still there?
        Uhh...so you're automatic?
If so..have you ever accidentally shifted into reverse while gunning it?
If so..that may be a tranny/engine issue..bigger than what you thought your issue was.

Id check your basic ignitor first. That usually causes a hesitant start and then it acts fine afterwards. The distributor would be the last thing I would replace since its the most expensive out of all the solutions. Usually if you have all of those codes there is usually one main contributing cause for all of them. Try to figure out whats the most common out of all of them and start from there.
