so here's the deal and I will keep it short. Finally started the H22. The car started after 3-4 turns of the key. Once started the engine idled less than 10 minutes and the temp gauge went to 3/4 high on the gauge. I noticed that the fans do not come on when the car was running hot. System is bleed properly. I am going to check the fans relay, hot wire the fans to see if they come on and change out the thermostat. Oh and not sure if this would be relevant but I do not have an o2 sensor yet on the aftermarket header so there is a whole where the o2 sensor would be and exhaust coming out of unplugged o2 whole. Help!!! I started this swap in February and finally finished on Tuesday.

Ok bought new battery. This time I was able to test a couple of components. Originally neither fan would come on even witht he A/C on. So first I checked the relays. I noticed that the power windows and cooling fans have the same type of relay. So swapped relays putting the cooling fan relay in the power window slot and the windows worked. I then took the relay that was originally in the power window slot, because I knew it worked, and nothing the fans still did not run.
Next I decided to make sure that the fan motors actually did run. So I straight wired each fan to the battery and each fan ran like a champ.
Next I checked the fuse and other than being about 5 amps higher,a 25A instead of 20A, the fuse looked fine.
So now I am left scratching my head because only the relay and fuse are the only two things that each fan has in common. The only thing left is each fan switch. What are the chances that each switch is bad on the H22? Helpppppp!!!

There is a fan switch that turns on the fan at a certain temp. Might wanna check that. Its on the T stat housing as I recall.

BTW, when does the fan usually come on in everyone's Accord. I am so used to looking at my ole Civic's temp gauge which only went up to 1/4 of the way. I have been reading and it looks like most Accord's temp gauge goes up to half way and then the fan comes on. But the fans do not come on when the A/C is on.

Hmm...sounds like you overlooked the fuses!
check the fuses to make sure none are blown!
or..if you're electrically inclined...you could always hardwire it to the ignition...so as soon as you turn the key to II..the cooling fan comes on..and when you turn the key to off..to take out..the fan shuts off...
thats how I wired my girl's old Plymouth Reliant wagon fan..the relay was bad..and I just rewired the fans wires to the ignition..and when she turned the key to ON..the fan came on...and it will continue to run while the key is in that position II/III
just thought id help!
but yeah...you might want to check these:
A) waterpump ( check upperhose for pressure and hotness...if its hot..the waterpump works)
B) Thermostat ( if the upper radiator hose is hot..but the temp is rising...the thermostart might not be opening )
C) Radiator Cap ( the cap could be bad )
D) check for clogged passages in radiator ( flush the cooling system and fill with New coolant )
E) check the wires for the fan relay switch ( under dash next to Main Fuel Relay ) "black box" ..that relay could be bad as well...as mentioned before!
so just check over everything.
keep us posted!
NOTE: all in all...you should've changed the waterpump when you did the T-belt change...(* common thing to do )
