lol, thanks CVC. I really needed that. My orginal plan was to try to keep it stock suspension and all. I even have so steelies, might get some hubcaps too, however not sure if I can leave it stock though. Just picked up some MR7's/Advan from a friend so, there goes stock. Thanks for the cheer up.

check the fuses to make sure none are blown!

or..if you're electrically inclined...you could always hardwire it to the ignition...so as soon as you turn the key to II..the cooling fan comes on..and when you turn the key to off..to take out..the fan shuts off...

thats how I wired my girl's old Plymouth Reliant wagon fan..the relay was bad..and I just rewired the fans wires to the ignition..and when she turned the key to ON..the fan came on...and it will continue to run while the key is in that position II/III

        just thought id help!

but yeah...you might want to check these:

        A) waterpump ( check upperhose for pressure and hotness...if its hot..the waterpump works)

        B) Thermostat ( if the upper radiator hose is hot..but the temp is rising...the thermostart might not be opening )

        C) Radiator Cap ( the cap could be bad )

        D) check for clogged passages in radiator ( flush the cooling system and fill with New coolant )

        E) check the wires for the fan relay switch ( under dash next to Main Fuel Relay ) "black box" ..that relay could be bad as well...as mentioned before!

        so just check over everything.

        keep us posted!

NOTE: all in all...you should've changed the waterpump when you did the T-belt change...(* common thing to do )

to prevent any mishaps with your new swap!
        UPDATE:
I changed the thermostat and also swapped out a leaking heater hose on the passenger side. I also wired up the fans to the switch and they are coming on on when I turn the switch, however the car is still overheating. I thought maybe the temp gauge sensor was bad so I unplugged it and went for a short test drive, however when I plugged the switch back in it shot up to hot so I left the switch on and ran the fans until it cooled off.
BTW, what direction are the fans supposed to spin? My fans are spinning clockwise.
I fully bleed the coolant like the book says. I did noticed something kinda strange my upper radiator hose looks almost collapsed in one of the curves. I am using the upper hose from the H22 nto my original. I can't think of anything else.
There is nothing dripping on the timing belt side. Any ideas I need help.
How can you tell if the radiator is not clogged and the coolant is flowing?

ok your waterpump might be effed. your situation is pretty weird, i must add... especially with the fans running... you should not be overheating. Both my buddies only use one fan... and we've never seen that needle past the half mark on the temp gauge. So obviously... if you have replaced your coolant temp sensor... (idk if you have or not). but if you did and it's still getting hot like that..... get a new water pump. if you think about it, that would be your last option... and say you do change the your water pump... that temp gauge still reads 3/4 the way up the scale...

WOT all day... fuck it. lol j/p. but i know you'd love it.

how is your car running besides that man?

I'll tell you what, i live in Ohio, the windchill was like 10 degrees last week. My car would not heat up at all. I forgot to put coolant in my baby when i did my swap!!! I think the water froze.... it took about a half hour for that damn needle to move, i waited inside staring at my windows, i kept asking my car when the hell they were going to defrost

But i promise you, you'll figure it out one way or another, we all usually do
          Fun with Paint... haha.

... Well I bought a 30 amp relay and fuse and just re-wired mine. I had the same problem and never diagnosed it. I set the signal wire to the power window fuse in the engine bay so I didn't have to go through the firewall. Of course they run all the time because I haven't gotten a thermostatic switch but I have a wierd overheating problem anyways.

I played around with my plugs some time ago

It appears that there is a second thermo-switch behind the engine as well

Yes there is one in the front, but also in the rear next to the bleeder valve.
Well one day I unplugged the rear plug and my fans did not operate!

Car got hot at Idle, but when I revved it...it went fine again, try replacing this one as well.

If it is pure white smoke then you may have blown a headgasket.

I have since wired the fans to the fuse box with the positive wire going to the pwr. window fuse and the ground going to the battery. So the fans come on with the switch. So this solves my fans on, HOWEVER THE CAR STILL OVERHEATS no matter if I rev the engine or I am at idle. I pulled the radiator and ran pressurized water from a garden hose thru to see if it was clogged. Not sure though how fast water is supposed to flow. It didn't crawl but there was a delay getting down to the bottom and out the bottom tube. This is also the original radiator and I could see calcium build-up in the radiator at the top. Looks like the previous owner may have used water alot.
