Difference Between JDM H22a's

Did the Preludes come in automatics?
I know none of the USDM model H22s came with autos until 1997.


Doesn't the TPS face the firewall?

lol yeah i forgot there is NO MAP SENSOR on TB on BB4 since its on firewall and the SIR MAP is on TB.

All CD6's have the larger disc and caliper combo, same goes for the BB4.

The BB1 (4ws) however, still had the smaller disc+caliper until 1994 IIRC. somebody correct me.

And yes, the SiR (Bb1/4) ludes did come with automatics.

yeah on all 97-01 OBDII H22 MAP sensor are on the TB that goes for the 97-02 SIR accord F20B and H22 type S and H23 Vtec

my head is stamped 96, it has the map on the throttle body, of course the throttle body diameter is smaller as previously stated

and your point? JDM BB4 Preludes 92-96 did not come with auto tranny.
I dunno about the CD6 SIR Accord if it did or not But im betting it did. anyways to tell difference look at the date when the motor was made, if it was between the years 91-96 obd1 and if MAP sensor is on TB its a SIR motor if not BB motor. 97-up obd2 H22 will have MAP on TB

ohh yeah on a side note the USDM 96 prelude h22 was OBD2 but only in US and i think in other counties as well but the 96 BB4 was OBD1 in JAPAN until 97 then everything was OBD2

Yea mines a 94 I forgot lol not a 92 I am trippin yo! Anyway yea I am still lookin for a damn AP1 tb though. Hmm I wonder how diff the intake manifold designs were maybe runners? Dunno but that would be something to see. Anyway I was thinkin bout gettin the Euro R mani lol or Type S mani if I could find one since the upper plenum was bigger than the normal h22a as I have read.

coz kidd262's h22a Bb1 halfcut was an automatic. dunno about the BB4 tho, but I have come across a few BB4 with automatics. halfcuts. chopped up.

Prelude because they changed the location on the newer one. The sixth gens started with the f20b motor unless you got a type R accord motor but thats like h22a9 or some wierd number like that. My frined has an auto 2000 and his is on tb.

lol trah I know my car is slow haha I need a slightly larger tb and IM but those can wait haha.
