hey guys here's something no one has said yet.
ya know the manufactuers and common knowledge viscocity charts? follow them they weren't just created to take up space in your manuals. it's called r&d by engine oil manufactuers just a thought. just cuz you think whatyou are running is the good shit you are probably wrongMy other ride is your ex-wife

just run 5w30 in the winter and 10w30 in the summer. 5 is thinner than 10 so that's why its good in the coldest of temps. in the summer time when it's not needed, run the thicker 10w30 oil. the first number means the weight of the oil when the engine is cold and the second number, after the w, means the weight of the oil when the engine has warmed up.

i just do it mainly b/c my car leaks a bit here and there, so the thicker oil when cold doesn't get through the seals as easy. I guess you dont NEED to move to the thicker oil but it just helps in my situation since my seals aren't 100%. And since I live in AZ, the thicker oil is better suited for the higher temps...It rarely goes below freezing at night in the winter.
