My neighbor has an EK hatch, and when he took off yesterday, I heard his car for close to 45 seconds straight once he got onto the main street yesterday. That is rice I'm sorry. I drove an EP3 yesterday that sounded the same as his car, and it was annoying as fuck.

By the way, just a note on the EP3 that I test drove: it was an 03, K series right? Wrong, VTEC didn't even work, it was loud as fuck, there were stickers all over it, and the exhaust and rims made it look ricer. And the dealership wanted 13k!

the ep3 civics have the k20a3, its not the same k20 as the rsx type-s, it has vtec but it kicks in at like 2200 on the intake cam, not for performance for economy, so you prolly just didnt feel it but its there, the k20a3 kinda suck, k20a2 ftw

Yeah i dunno. Is VTEC audible on those engines? It was the same sound throughout the RPM range - LOUD!

It was magnaflow exhaust, and it had to have been a test pipe cause it was the loudest shit i've ever heard.

to the op. I can honestly tell you that no performance exhaust can be too quiet. I was going nuts listening to my leak til I got it fixed. I'm not saying that you wont like the loudness, but when you drive the car everyday you'll start to dislike the loudness all the time. You constantly have to turn up the radio and you have to talk loud just to hear yourself
