    Axles!

I just got my axles replaced...not even 2 weeks ago...and the fucking passenger side axle boot is ripped ( outter )

can anyone tell me...what the hell causes PREMATURE boot failure!

changing it is not an issue...what the issue is..why does aftermarket parts axles boots rip so damn soon? 2 WEEKS..and the passenger side boot rips..

    I found this rip ( this morning ) :

I just need an explanation! or reason for this premature rip!

My boot failure was the strap around it came loose. The 1 i got from auto store and it came with a zip tie around it. so while replacing the rear main seal, i jus used a metal clamp now no greese comes out

Could be just poor craftmanship on the axle. I would also check your motor mounts cause if you have excessive movement from them it could cause a boot to tear. This happened to me went through two axles then found out the driverside mount was blown replaced the mount and have been on the same axle for over 6 months.
      I need a 14b or 16g turbo!

its the reason why they are alot cheaper from the parts store than from the dealer.

its not OEM quality, its cheap aftermarket stuff.

Then I would suggest buying axles from a different supplier. I always get mine from BAP import parts or the dealer.

yea, while autozone axles have lifetime warranty and Hondas got 3 months for probably more the price.

I think ill buy autozone ones, like i said changing them isnt hard at all.

Though its true autozone has the lifetime warranty, they only offer it because they break so often. It's not worth the time, effort and risk when you go with autozone ones. The axle nut is a bitch to remove with manual tools.

                  ...adjust accordingly

i go autozone! .. lol free is fine with me. I've got 90-91 axles on my car though .. pulls abs light.. lol.. oh well.. FREE!!!

as for the axle nut problem someone stated.. i get them off easy by using a breaker bar, and a long 4 foot pole for leverage.

When I do an oil change on my car or my wife's van, I make sure I spray the boots down with some Silicone Spray to make sure they dont get too dry, its a cheap way to keep your boots in good condition....

maybe you caught something on the road? I usually have to avoid a lot of crap on the road such as cardboard that got run over by cars and random shit like that.
