okay so i just got back from the body shop, and he quoted me around $670 to get the frame back to oem spec. the labor rate for frames are $60, and he was going to charge me for 6 hours, and then to remove the side skirts, and bumper.

i'm sure i can remove the skirts and the bumper and take it to him, if that would be a better idea?

    is $600 too much?

          Ah, I see.

$600 isn't that bad, as long as they do a good job.

When I had my old cb7 and got in a wreck, the core was damaged. My dad took it too a shop in KC and they did a horrible job fixing it. When we put the fender on it was rubbing against the hood and the door badly.

          What's the shop's name?

should be alot cheaper if you take off the fenders front bumper and headlights.... take everything off the core that you can exctecpt the radiator and fans so you can still drive it during the day.... and you dont have to take off the side skirts you can just unbolt the front two bolts on it and pull it down out of the way to get the fendes off.... oh and if you need a core support i have a brand new one i was going to put on my car but insurance totaled it out and cut me a check for 2200 bucks and i found me a coupe for 200 sooo i dont need the new support any more

Please, Leave me some feeedback on my ride ^CLICK ^CLICK ^CLICK

I would do it for $670 and it would be alot cheapter to take the parts off yourself and then drive the car down there to the shop. They would have to cut the price down since all they would be doing is bending the frame and not having to worry about laboring over taking off the parts.

yeah if i was to take off all the parts, it would take the price down to 590, so i think i'm going to do that.

pull off the bumper and hammer the fuckign support. if that dont help....i dunno. I would say do your best to bend and shape everything so the gap goes away.

alright so the acura i work at is owned by a company called hendrick, and hendrick has a body shop and thats where we send all our cars that need body work. there rep is good. so i went in there and got an estimate of $490 to be put on frame machine and work on the core support as well. plus i get a 10% discount on top of that because i work for the company.

i think i will do this.
