Exactly as mentioned oil will get dirty quick. Even though if you jus tinstalled it. If you run a dual filter system it might look cleaner but thats more routing like the amsoil kit they sell. But still if you want your oil to look new find a 4 micron filter and filter it through there. Takes forever but it will go back to its color lol. I bought RP with a wix filter for 50 bucks total. RP cust about 7.5 around here as I recall and the filter cost 10 ish? I forgot cant find the receipty but it came out to 50 even. Then I bought me some amsoil with a filter for the same price =D still need to do my damn oil change though.

Hey, no disagreement here, it did a good job, but when it got really dirty (nearly black) the engine bay started smelling like really old dirty oil when the engine got hot. I have a small leak somewhere (I think its the camshaft seal, not sure) and when some of that dirty oil hit the downpipe, it made an awful smell.
So I changed it so I wouldn't have to smell that, and I just straight up can't afford the RP, its just wasting too much of my bills.
just because it is dirty does not mean the viscosity is bad.
what filter where you using?
on the stairs, she grabs my arm, says whats up,
where you been, is something wrong?
i try to just smile, and say everything’s fine.

Yeah, this test was a Chevy 350 ZZ4 crate motor, 89 octane fuel, 9:1 compression, and a carb. The numbers they compared were at 6500 rpm redline. Hell, for almost 10whp I'll use some expensive oil when my motor goes together. So what if oil changes cost $50, the car won't get more than 2 a year from now on
