clean out the major parts of the EGR system; EGR valve, IACV, and the EGR service ports (which are probably clogged shit with carbon build-up). you'll notice this type of bogging between 2,500-3,000RPM when the EGR is actually active.

the bog i am referring to is intermittent. it doesnt always happen, but when it does, well i explained it in the OP

my instructor that has been doing manual and automatic tranny's since the 80's. he's stopped since 2000 because of a bad back. he used to lift tranny's over his shoulder, instead of using lifts

By properly servicing a vehicle, it does show the areas of weakness and other areas that need attention. If that's a bad thing, then by all means do not service the vehicle and just continue assuming things will be OK.

most of it can be cleaned out, as long as it's still functional. if it's broken, then obviously replace it

I would guess more ignition related since you said it was worse going up a hill. Bad ignition timing can cause bogging in a certain RPM range but clear up in anther RPM range. The fact that it's intermittent is a little odd. Of course check the obvious like spark plugs/wires and make sure the wires are making good contact. Possibly a rotor button/cap not making proper contact or not very liekly but maybe the ignitor acting up?

HAving THIS SAME PROBLEM!!!!!! BOgging down

Hey what did you do? my car does same thing up hills and from 1500rpms to 2500rpms and some times will backfire back through intake and carry on.

IT JUST FALLS ON ITS FACE... I have replaced so much already

Let me know if any one know what fixes this problem.... Im going to clean EGR in morning and hope for the best but its prolly not my egr since it acts so stupid.... But i also have black shit comming out of exhuast. but when its bogging down...its knocking like bad fuel even though its all new... SO IM LOST..

                          Her are my ideas

                          EGR
                          TPS
                          MAINT FUEL RELAY

i have pressure and i have no CL's unless i try to run to long with it bogging.

aree you getting adequate fuel pressure?

and by doing preventative maintenance, its easier to find a problem when you can say oh I just replaced that not long ago
