Either they are mixed parts or whatever. Anyway the true way to find out is to look right above the exhaust manifold. SHould be 3 circle things. That should say the date when it was made i think it was the last one.

yeah all those say 97 including head... but it came from tigerjapanese.com just like mine do you really think that they would go through all that work to sell this obd2 as obd1 for less?

I've never seen a stamp like that. The "little clock" stamps between the exhaust ports on the head are where the date is, at least on the older engines like mine.

well it says the same thing there(on the clock looking things) but we checked on the price of the motors and its a 1550 dollar difference in motors! lets be realistic here do you think an importer is that stupid to swap to obd1 and sell for 1500 dollars less? wtf
mine says 93 on the block and the guy at tiger told me it was out of a 92! i dont understand why they would take such a significant loss

Oh. I got a buddy the works at honda and he said that if the crank angle sensor is not hooked up it would run like absolute crap. By the way those pics were taken off of my h22 accord. We were at jakes and took pics in the dark. But my buddy that works at honda said that maybe since its jdm they might have not gone to obd2 till 96 maybe early 97. Due to them having different emissions, and maybe mine was one of those early model obd1 97's??? Let me know what you guys think on that theory.
