    D4 troubles

    ok..heres my dilema!

I know my shit...but anyone that has had this problem..chime in.

OK...im pretty sure alot of yall already know...Im getting a White 92 EX auto for a cheap price....BUT..yes theres always a BUT....

when I took it for a test drive....in D4...it takes off SLOWLY...like something is holding it back...

BUT..when you take off in 2nd gear...and upshift to D3 and then to D4...it drives fine!..

    now..my guess is...

TCU and Shift Solenoids are bad!...but what my direct question is....has anyone encountered this EXACT problem with a 92-93 EX auto transmission?

my two guess are as stated above are:

    *TCU
    *Shift Solenoids

THOSE are what Im leaning on 90%

so could anyone with MORE experience in the AUTOMATIC field point me in a more accurate direction if Im a little off!

    experienced responses greatly appreciated.

    NOTE: thanks!
92 LX. A6 with GUDE bullfrog Cam. M2S4 transmission..Gutted H23 intake mani. The rest you will just have to find out!

D4 flashing? Quit guessing Kenny and pull the codes from the TCU.!!

No, but seriously I had the same problem with that P.O.S I bought from peter. Its was simple though. Just bad trans fluid...

    is it slipping?
