Well it pretty much sounds like normal lol. I hear the main relay click and the fuel going. So pretty much I have fuel/spark/compression/ the timing is correct. Im going to go buy some cheap spark plugs and see if the spark plugs I have now just have a weak spark. If thats not it im all out of ideas.

Its not loud but you can hear it easier if you fold the rear seat down
If its not priming the pump isn't working.
if thats the case...the first step for him to take ( in this case )..would be to look at the MFR.
Resolder or buy a new one.
then..if the pump isn't working still
CHECK the ground wires ( especially the one on the T-stat housing )...check all the ground wires.
then..if that doesn't work...
CHECK the ECU fuses.
if that doesn't work..
Check the wires for shorts..
everything checks out...
fuel pump is bad!

Can you describe the symptoms a little bit better?
What happen whe you turn the key to start?
Does it fire up and run, Does it go "click"
The more detail you can provide the easier it is for us to help diagnose

Ok.
To describe the situation:
I blew my old engine, I got a new one put it in. It didnt start at first which I found out was because of the t-stat housing ground.
I put the ground on it started up. I noticed I had a code 6 after I drove it around (right down the road) so that means it would still run with that code and its the only one that I have, but while driving I noticed my speedometer wasnt going.
So I pop the hood and noticed I didnt tighten the bolts, I tightend them and went to start it up and didnt start. I figured the battery was just dead.
So a couple days go buy i charged up the battery and go to start it and still no start. So we figured maybe fouled (spelling) spark plugs and just not getting enough spark to do anything. I changed the plugs and still no start.
To sum it up it has spark/fuel/compression, I have one code im getting from the ecu (code 6 which wouldnt make it not start) It has gas I just put in gas the other day thinking maybe it was just out lol.

A code 6 is a throttle body sensor or coolant sensor. Regardless of the code, it should still start. Mine did and I had a code 6 when I swapped. I changed out the sensors, but thing is mine still started up.
Double check everything before you rule out anything else. Also check your ecu fuse.

you might have pulled the ground wire loose inside the harness somewhere.. you check or replace the ecu yet ?
EDIT : hell .. i don't know.. i spent three days trying to figure another one out and it was due to the fact that i read the damn firing order on the cap wrong and until i compared it to another cb that was running i would have never noticed it.Last edited by tn_accords; 02-01-2008, 01:54 AM.
