For the rain... FALKEN ze 512, i dunno if u ever used these but some people dont like it cuz it doesnt grip when hydro plainin
The whole point of a good winter/rain tire is not to hydroplane....I am running toyo proxes 4 all seasons. They do there job. They handled the snow and such here in IL pretty well. Wet traction is pretty good. Still has a lot of feel in the front end but that can be just because i have no ps.

How is it driving without power steering is it tough to turn the wheel all the way?
I have had good results with Falken Ziex 512. Good luck finding them, they are discontinued. The ZE912 replaced them, they are no longer a directional tire. I am sure the ZE912 is good.
I personally just got a set of Nitto Neo-Gen tires. Expect me to review them or something in the future.
I had some Goodyear allegra'd oversized on my saturn, i NEVER hydroplaned, and i was usually hitting about 110-130KPH on highways, really good sticky tire, never got stuck in winter either, however, the clearance between the saturn and the accords, is significant... If your slammed, dont drive it in snow.

For the nasty months, I recommend Firestone Firehawk Indy 500 tires. They've got a super agressive tread so they channel water away from the tire to the sides (meaning no spray for the car behind you) at speed very well. I was going through about 3/4" of standing water at 60 mph an didn't have a problem with hydroplaning.
Because of their tread design, they handle snow very well. As long as the snow isn't deeper than the lowest point on the car, you're not going to get stuck. Ice isn't exactly their friend, but your really need a studded tire to deal with ice anyways.
^^^The link to the tirerack showcase of the tire. I forgot, this is a 50,000 mile tire. I've got about 43k miles on my set, and they still look good. If they hadn't been on a lowered car to get some nasty camber wear, I'd run them again this winter, but I've got other tires, and they're near the end of their life, so they will dissapear when it gets cold.
