    live short

heres the problem: my dome light, and courtesy light fuse blew...so naturally i put in a new fuse. 3 seconds after the new fuse was put in (while the car was shut off) the fuse blows. so i get my dad to look at it...says i got a live short...i asked a friend about it, he said to check all the lights for a broken or pinched wire...looked around...didnt find much...so now im lost...took it to a shop and they REFUSED to even touch my car because it has aftermarket parts installed (interior neons, RSM, radar detector...) and its all hardwired into the car, so they said fuck it, they'd be there till next month tracing wires...

so anyone have any ideas of what COULD be the problem and how to fix it???

cause right now my battery drains in about 3 minutes tops, from a full charge to flat out dead! so for now i got my car stranded in my yard with the battery unhooked....HELP ME!!!

Start from there, Your neons could be causing the problem. Start with whatever is wired into the circuit that keeps blowing. Disconnect everything that YOU installed and then put them back one at a time and see which ever accessory makes the fuse pop.

everything installed in my car is directly wired to the ignition...which isnt controlled by the fuse that keeps blowing...so i dont really think it could be that?
