Power steering making moaning noise after old fluid flushed on my H22(Video inside)

    http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v9...t=MOV02149.flv

So my power steering started making that noise after flushing the old fluid and filled with new fluid. The procedure i did was taking off the hose near the pump (picture and circled below) and drained from there. Tried draining it again and noise went away, filled it back and noise came back! Is there suppose to be a proper way to bleed it?

turnin the steering lock to lock is the proper way. what fluid was used? chances are you need to rebuild the pump, is it frothing?

U need to flush out the power steering fluid bro. That moaning you hear is a sign that your fluid is old and is not working as good as it made to work. I would try to get it flushed out as soon as possible or it can eventually lead to further issues wit the P/S.

Damn.... i have to flush it again? But i have just put a new fluid in there. Is there specific fluid just for the prelude PS fluid? So what's the proper way to flush it?

thr proper way to bleed it is to NOT hit lock to lock because you want a continuous flow of fluid and not to stop.

If its still frothing could be the pump is officially no good. Thats usually the case. As I can see in your ps reservoir its a bit orangy aint it. Your pump is probably bad causing it to froth up the ps fluid it happens. Sometimes it can be as easy as not enough fluid.

If you have fluid in it do it right now. No need to pull out the fluid again. YOu need to circulate the fluid into the rack and pinion if you just leave it in one spot it aint going anywhere. If it still froths and moans pump is probably bad.

Prevenative Maintanance.....If you are having a problem fix it a.s.a.p....Power steering is hooked up to something, which in turn is hooked up to something. Fix the main problem before u cause other problems to arise.
Also the pump probably has gone bad sorry bro.

I have the same exact problem with my h22 power steering. It makes a moaning noise everytime I hook a belt up to it. I drained and put in new fluid but still the same thing. I even replaced the pump with one from the junk and still moans. Im so sick of it that Ive decided to run without ps although I do want it.

                            ...adjust accordingly

the only other problem that would arise is if the rack went dry. he can take the belt off for now and just keep fluid in the system to lube the rack and VSS.
