    T/O Bearing Comparison

When I did my swap I took some pictures of the T/O bearings for comparison purposes. I ended up going with an ACT clutch and pressure plate as well as TO bearing and this is why.

I bought an OEM T/O bearing thinking it would be the best for the clutch I bought. As it turns out it was rather flimsy and came apart with just a quick pull. The ACT bearing didn't come apart with a pull and it actually looked sturdier in design than the one from the dealer.

After removing the original bearing from the tranny, it turns out it was very similar if not the same in comparison with the ACT bearing. Here are some pics of the bearings.

Just an interesting find I thought I'd post.

yeah, it is kinda weird since the used one was exactly like the act one but the new one is flimsier and also ordered for a lude.

btw, nice fogs and lip upgrade. Dont think ive seen that on your car before.

act does not have their own bearings they use nichi bearings which are the same sold at most autozones very good bearings though better than oem not to mention nichi is in michigan and the bearings are assembled like 2 miles from my house
