Let my car sit too long! Battery problem?

So, with my job this summer I got a company vehicle and my accord didn't move for about a month and a half. Now I'm back to school and need my car again, unfortunately it is not cooperating.

When trying to start the car I get nothing, no dash lights, no crank...just absolutely nothing. It will fire up when boosted, however if it is left to idle long enough it will die on me. I've taken it for a fairly long drive to try to give the battery a good charge but it still died on me once I got home and was letting it idle again. After it dies from idling I get nothing from the car when trying to start it up right after.

I think it has something to do with my battery, after reading through some other posts I think maybe I'm grounding out somewhere? But I really have no clue and need some help ASAP I need my car to get to school! I appreciate the help.

eather take the bat out and take it done to a parts store and have them check to see if its good or get a new batt also get a hold of a multi meter and check to see what the voltage is at ideal

If you have a DVOM jump your car and make sure it is reading at least above 13. If its not your alternator isnt good. Wouldnt be bad to bring batt to autozone or something to test. You can have some dead cells in there. That will also help you make sure its the alternator is bad.

Your battery might just need a long charge

mine would die out every few days and i just put it on the charger for like 10 hours and have been fine ever since
            wat?
