Optima Battery

Does anyone know where I can find a yellow top optima battery. I think I'm the only one that can't find one. Any suggestions on a certain type of optima battery?

the red top optima battery will suit you fine..unless you're pushing a high wattage system, then spend the extra $$$ for the yellow top. i believe autozone sells optima batteries, or check out your local speed shop, or custom stereo places.

25 mins? I left that with my OE battery and was fine.

LOL, try this for size, my uncle left his lamps on overnight in his CB7 w/yellowtop, and his started immediately as well.

Gotta get me a yellowtop.

umm they sell yellow tops at sears, pepboys has em too...i was gunna buy one since i needed a replacement but then my registration came home...so i ended up getting a cheaper replacement

difference of the optimas red, yellow and blue?

Red is the regular starting battery, Yellow is the deep cycle automotive battery meant for people with huge sound systems, and Blue is the deep cycle marine battery. Optima batteries are cool, but you can buy alot more powerful conventional battery for much less money. For example Costco sells their Kirkland Signature group 34/78 for like $80 CDN which is rated at 900 CCA, while the Optima Red top group 34/78 costs $160 CDN and is rated at 800 CCA. BTW both of the batteries are made by the same company, Johnson Controls.

someone told me that Exide made Optima, so you can get an Exide deep c for a lot less than an Optima..

do research beforehand to make sure this is correct. i had an Exide deep c.

Thanks bro, that's your basic DIY-black housing oem headlight conversion, the corners I think blend real nice. I might do oem bumper lenses again (orange), thinking for some contrast. hmmm. hahaz.

Like OM617 said earlier, Optimas are made by Johnson Controls http://www.johnsoncontrols.com/bg/

I bought one of the Kirkland branded batteries from Costco (Also made by Johnson Controls). No problems in 2 years even with a full discharge after my alternator went and -44 days this January. Still I wish I had spent double to get an Optima red. They destroy every other battery IMO.
