    steering rack problems.......

Ive been getting a click/knock from the drivers side front for about two months now, but only when i turn to the right and hit the gas. It IS getting worse now, so i kinda want to know whats up. I've replaced the tie rod ends, my suspension shop says its definately not the ball joints and the CV's are driveshaftshop level 0 that only have about 10k miles on them and the boots are completely fine (normal mostly-highway use). I did remove the power steering when swapping to the f22b and 5spd. Right now *and for most of the summer), the pressure hose comes over the motor and is just there, no pump. The hoses goign into and out of the resevior are all still connected, except for the hose are the very base (completely open now). The res has no fluid in it at all.

My dumb question is this, is it likely that knocking is my rack or is it my axles? Thanks guys, and any tips on a better p/s set-up is m uch appreciated
