The car (h22a, p13,ihe) will have a jumping idle 750 to 1200 rpm till I put the a/c on .... I have a egr cel if that has anything to do with it.... assuming they are unrelated

Perhaps the idle is set too high?
I'm looking at the book, and it says the EGR can contribute to a rough idle with the CEL on, but it says to check that third, after the IACV and FITV, idle adjustment screw, hoses, etc
