    URGENT: Clutch will not disengage.

My clutch will not disengage. while the car is running it will not go into anygear from a dead stop.

Is this possibly a hydraulics matter or has my clutch finally gone out.

Any help in diagnosis would be appreciated im stranded at the moment.

    Thanks in advanced.

You mean engage...Anyway one thing to check is fluid in the CMC reservoir. IF you aint got none you got a leak somewhere. Its usually the slave that gets out for a no shift but yea.

I had a similar problem like that last month. It might be that slave cylinder on the tranny, mine took a shit. I got a new 1 for like $20 bucks at auto zone, swapped it out, car shifted good as hell then.

no it will not disengage. it will not go into gear will the engine is running. i can put it into gear while it is off and then push the clutch in for the clutch switch and start it and it hops to idle.

it will not disengage. fluid is good pedal has pressure.
im thinking and hoping its a throwout bearing.

i really don't know what else could cause that.

my friend has this problem with his integra and it turned out to be broken fingers on his pressure plate. i think this is most likely the problem

Have a friend watch your slave cylinder while you press in the clutch when the car is running.

i pulled the tranny out yesterday. the clutch was stuck on the pressure plate and there was part of the clutch on the flywheel. i had to pry the clutch off of the pressure plate when it was unbolted. thats why it wasn't disengaging.

                  everyone thanks for the help.
