from what i've heard or read...it's because your gas or whateve is too rich or too lean idk im not so sure..it probably doesn't have to do with anything. But in most cases it usually means your performance is close to top notch..(Doesn't it..haha idk wth im talkin about..im just fockin' bored)

No it doesnt mean your car is in top notch condition, Most likely you are running rich. And you probably got a pipe not a cat.

Take it to the Dealer, pay the 100 dollars for a look over. Then they'll tell you.

Arent we supposed to be helping people here?

Um if your running rich, which i think you are, i think you timing is off, but like i saw to everyone else, im never 100% sure. Ive been lucky enough to have a car with little to no problems, so this is what im read, learnt, and make sense in my head.

I think its becasue there is enough gas fumes in your exhaust, and obviously gas explodes, and it does when it gets to a certain temperature, (forget what its called, i leanrt it in chemistry). I dont think your lean, bc what would explode? the air?

i have seen quite a few legal cars on the track that spit fireballs like that out the back, its crazy the first time you see it happen.

Well now, that's not entirely true. If it's just a little bit, then maybe. But, usually burning enough extra gas to throw flame is not a good thing. There's a very strong chance he's running rich enough that he could be washing down the cylinders.

To the OP, when's the last time you changed your oil? Did it seem really thin or have a strange odor to it? I'd pull your dipstick and take another look at it. Just my suggestion.

Again, not really. You can still burn a valve from the backfires....

You foul the plugs instead of melting them....

You run the risk of washing down the cylinder walls....

Really, neither is any better for your motor than the other one. Running rich will take longer to ruin your motor, but in the end, the results are basically the same, lol.
