Gas issues

Having issue with gas milage. Before you knock this question please read.
My car seems go through gas relativly quick. I can fuel up on gas and run out only driving it 30 miles or so.(10 to 12 dollars worth) If i floor it i can waste almost a half a tank of gas within a matter of 20 mins or so driving around town. I am thinking I may need a new gas pump or that my gas gauge is broken. If any suggestions please let me know.

when that happened my ignitor was going out. i was getting 10mpg, is your tach jumping over a certain rpm?

no. but the check engine light is on and the maintence light is on. i had the code ran and it is my speedometer and a o2 sensor is bad.

indeed! the fulty o2 sensor will kill your mileage. get it fixed and enjoy the savings at the pump

oh and dont go cheap on the O2 sensor (ex; Bosch)
DENSO and NGK is good

uh i think you just answered your own question. the light is on for a reason
