Do you have or can you snap a picture to guide me to where the heater hose is?
Hmm?? well, the heater hose at the surface starts at the firewall. There are two big hoses side by side. The hose to the right is the heater hose. Follow that hose all the way down and it will lead you to under the car. It stops just right above the oil filter..

???? I dunno what kind of heater hose your describing. Anyway there are two. One from thermostat housing (around there) to solenoid then it goes into the firewall. That would be the "entrance" the one dj moua changed was the "exit".. This one is a bit harder to spot. You can get under the car to change it. To see it get a light and point under the intake manifold and look for a black water pipe (its plastic) Anyway you will see one hose going from that thing to the firewall. That should be the only water line around that area as I recall. The rest are situated around the thermostat housing area.

The only hoses around the filter is a bypass as I recall they carry no water.
