Castrol GTX, Castrol Syntec, or Mobil 1 full synthetic.

I have had good luck with all of them.

For filters, I only use the S2K filters. Supposedly the Toyo Roki are better, but I haven't had any trouble with Filtech either.

One thing to keep in mind is that OEM's spec how well they want their parts built. The subcontractors can do anything from ultra high quality, to super low quality, it all depends on what the OEM wants. As long as the filter meets OEM requirements, you are probably just fine.

Also, new Hondas call for 5W-20.

i was using nippons for a while but im thinking of going with something like a Hamp or S2k filter since i put less than 3k miles annually on it.
maybe get ready to put synthetic after i break the engine in.

edit: i just bought two hamp and two oem for 18.50 off ebay shipped. hell, the hamps cost 9 at retail!

we use 5w30 on pre 2001 vehicles and after that we use 5w20 on newer cars.
excluding the s2k which calls for 10w30 honda

          i personally use Royal Purple 5w30 with a Toy0 R0ki s2k honda filter.

btw this topic has been covered before.
