    What would cause a 5 speed car to jump forward in netural

    grinding/whirling noise till clutch pushed in just started to jump forward in netural. What could be the issue.

      u sure its in neutral on the tranny as well as your shifter?

        sounds like you shifter is in neutral but your tranny is not. check you linkage and make sure plus check you clutch slave cylinder, master cylinder, and lines for any leaks and fluid level.

          disc might be grabbing meaning either the throwout bearing is not doing its job. (could be the whirring sound on startup)

          also check if the slave is functioning properly aka press the clutch and watch for movement.

          this happened on a 5th gen and after replacement the clutch, flywheel, throwout bearing, the car didnt make any sound and grabbed like no other.
