ok quick question on the bottom of the intake manifold is a little black box. Is it for the cruise control? there was a sensor plugged in and a vacume line coming out and another spot for a vacume line that was broke off.

ok so the box is all busted up and the vacume lines that were coming out of it missing or broken. I am guessing it was never hooked up so do I really need to put it back on?Comment

The engine will run just fine without it and you won't get a CEL. You will however be losing torque in the lower rpms and power in the higher rpms.

thanx I plan on replacing it as soon as I can find a perfectly good one to replace it with but for now I am going to get the head back on after the port and polish and the new header to give it a test run
