    Tranny issues

ok. ive searched for the past hour on the tranny issues and i cant find the problem.

    i have a '90 accord. auto

for some odd reason when its humid or raining outside my sports mode light stays on(not blinking) and the tranny wont switch out of 2nd gear. i can switch to 1st and then to 2nd but it wont change into 3rd or 4th. then after about 15-20min the light goes off and then it drives normally. anyone know what the problem is?

ive changed to VSS already and i still have the same problem. need help please.

could be a leak affecting your tranny computer but pulling a code would be better than my guess

i'm not sure it's ever gonna rain here again so you could just move to alabama
....and on the 7th day, deevergote rested and called his mom.

lmao. dont think my g/f would like that very much. lol.

i changed the fluid yesterday and that might have been the problem b/c it stopped acting up. but now the light was blinking earlier this morning. no stops. just steadily blinking. whats that mean?

wit the symptoms you are describing I would say your transmission conputer has the classic burnt resistor issue. take the auto tranny computer out, take the lid off and inspect the circuit board. if you find a burnt resistor, replace the computer.

theres a blue connector in the passenger footwell next to the dash. plug a paper clip in to that with the car off. turn the ignition key to ON but with the motor off. then push a spare key or something that will fit into the shift colunm and throw the shifter into d4(d3?) that should give you a code. for the tcu to visiably check it you have to pull out the foot well from the passenger side. its a 10mm -9mm i think is what you need to get ti out. then just un plug em and check the interiors. its bc you changed your vss w/o resetting the ecu. Same thing happened to me after i changed the vss myself. except, a month later (now) after repairing it, i blew my transmission on a 1,000 mile trip. sniff sniff. but i really don't think the two were related.
