okay well the tranny in my car has a leak from the swap so hmotors sent me another one and since the engine is already in the bay everything installed and works fine, my question is can i take the tranny out from underneath the car with just a low profile shop jack and jack stands to support the car? will this be high enough? also when you take the tranny out you're supposed to mark a line where the torque converter connects to the block when you unscrew the bolts, why do i need to do this? can't i just unbolt the previous tranny and rebolt the new tranny back in? thanks!

never heard of the torque converter thing...
unless you jack the car up ridiculously high, you will need to remove the radius rod to slide the tranny out.. also, you will probably need to lower the jack down as much as you can, then have someone hold up the tranny, slide out the jack and set it on the ground or a sheet of plywood or something.. then just slide it out.. there is just so much little shit that will get caught here and there..

The torque converter slides on and off as I recall I dont remember any bolts that went with it, and its possible to drop it out. Just do what was mentioned above.

you have to aligne all the mark on the torque convertor before you take off the tranny.
and yes you can remove the tranny while your car is on jack stands.
you will need two jacks though. one to lower the tranny down and another to support the passanger side of the engine.
i did a DIY about a auto tranny removal. search on diy section.are we there yet are we there yet are we there yet
