    you mean ported?

our shop charges 500 but we are more of a domestic based shop. you should also add a higher profile cam, lighter valvetrain and valve job. overall it'll cost you about 1200 bucks :o

well i have a type r head that when it was on the motor the #3 cylinder just blew up. so it needs 4 new valves and its pretty rough around the valves so like i dont want to put the head a new block the way it is. so i was just wondering how much it would be to basically have it redone. i'll try to get pictures to show how bad it is. i was also thinkin just gettin a b16 head and puttin the type r cams in it instead of deallin with the head. i just wondering wich way would be the least expensive route.

b16? those dont fit on f22's

type r? im hella confused now.

but a basic valve job will be around 180 (4 valves per cylinder), you def want to check the condition of the guides and seats if a piston blew up.
pressure test to check for leaks is around 40 bucks.
        surface is 45.

your best route might be to get a low mileage head and transfer over the good parts. checge out the valve stem seals (20 bucks) while you are at it.

its a dc2. 95 gsr. i got it for 3500 with type r interior and teh type r motor which is garbage now. the kid told me it just had a rod knock. so i just took the risk and bought i anyway hoping it was just a bearing or somthin. the shell is pretty clean and dumped on twisties so it looks good. i just the motor is blown the hell. so ive been lookin for a b series short block to build and throw the type r head on it. but the heads still needs work so its a project. money isnt growing out of a tree either.

heres a picture of the block

Since you have a B18c5 head (integra typeR), I would just have it reconditioned since it already flows well stock and you're on a budget. I would get it cleaned, resurfaced, new valve stem seals and new valve job. What you can do is pay a little more for a competition valve job of some kind, this will provide you some extra flow, but not at the cost of actual portwork on a head ($850+). $500 for portwork on any Honda head is only for those with a connection or some simple cleanup polishing (not to be confused for portwork). Any reputable company with good results will be atleast $850 and more than likely more! I would have the shop (which they should do autmatically) check the valves for being bent, etc since you had block failure. After reconditioning your head, get a Bseries block of some kind in decent shape or in need of minor repair then slap the motor together. This would be your most cost efficient way.

Could get that head spruced up and get a B20 block and make a nice LS-V setup

The B20 blocks are going for 4-500 i think.

yea ive been lookin into a b20 block cus there pretty inexpensive and it would get the car running and drivable until i got the head done and could slap that on.
