    Motor Oil Comparo

    http://www.animegame.com/cars/Oil%20Tests.pdf

pretty interesting, Valvoline scored surprisingly well - an oil I've often heard criticized for its sludging ability.

LOL..How is this "study" relevant. What exactly are they trying to disprove? looks like 95% opinion 5 % science. Best brand oil? Come on..How does honda motor oil rank on there? LOL This is like the best gas debate. Or the engine flush debate. How many of you have charred pistons that look like those bearings? Did that happen from using walmart oil?

How do you know rp didn't bankroll that site?..lol When it comes to lubrication, two things remain a constant. Changing your oil regulary prolongs engine life. having enough oil in your engine at all times prolongs engine life. Everything else is contradictory.

This study becomes even more irelevant due to the fact that most engine failures(read blown) are due to overheating and/or lack of lubrication(or circulation of oil), not BRAND NAME of oil. Basically when people keep driving cars with blown valve seals or piston rings and the oil light flashing death(of the engine) is inevitable.

So some guy says "But i heard that synthetic was better than conventional because its protects your engine longer and doesn't break down"(not true, synthetics do break down....eventually). you respond, "well genious, that is the purpose of the 3000 mile 3 month oil change interval. You see(like bill cosby..lol) by changing your oil within this interval you protect your engine agaisnt viscosity breakdown. " thats a different debate though.

my old f22a6 i ran RP and it worked great, gain 1mpg, thats all i noticed. When I go the H22a in I run valeoline ( I know its spelled wrong). I was going to run RP but I wanted to wait and see how the motor ran, and then decide, well she runs ok so i am sticking with the cheap stuff till I get the new motor.
