Stabilizer? Good or bad?

I bought a stabilizer off ebay. Its nothing to major but i thought it would help out just a little. but this one guy said that it would take enegry or kill my battery. he said that these things aren't to good. Is there anyone that bought one know if they really work? does this guy know what he is talking about or what?

Please give me as much info as you know

Nice but it really didnt explain to much. i want to know if anyone has had any problems when they bought it. Right now its warm out so my car starts good but in the winter its a pain so i got this stabilizer. when i put it in my car some guy said that it will klll my battery,but i was thinking "doesnt this suppose to help them kind of problems". Has anyone ever had any problems?
