easiest way to hook tach

i have a tach i got from my buddy, and i wanted to know as far as the tack needle wats the easiest way to connect it to

my friend said number 1 spark in dus cap

another said jus splice the tach wire from cluster

any other easy ways u guys recommend

lol wtf...Blue wire. And if you have a wiring diagram you can hook it up from the back of the normal cluster with a splice.

i didn't want to crack open then dash just to get to one wire so i just hooked it up to a distributor wire colored YELLOW with Green stripe (or vice versa i forgot sorry). blue one didn't work for me .

I heard it was blue for f22a Could be my mind gettin rusty Ill need to see a wiring diagram.

When I had my tach I taped right into the blue wire works fine!
